From the first glistening frosts through to gently falling snow (as we’ve experienced already) – and even those soggy, foggy days in between – each winter day holds its own beauty. Our view across Rutland Water is especially captivating at this time of year and we’re often gifted stunning early sunsets stretching across the horizon. Take in our view as you cradle a hot chocolate in your hands in front of the fire, or meet with friends over a warming lunch; our winter menu has much to entice.

Our courtyards are full of evergreen beauty, touched with the rich reds and warm whites of the season; hellebore, ivy and yew share space with winter-flowering primroses, pansies and cyclamen grown here in our own glasshouses. 

In our shop you’ll find a festive wonderland of beautiful decorations, cards and wrapping, with gift ideas for all the loved ones in your life. Expect to find brands such as Yeti, Shepherd of Sweden, St Eval and Merry People alongside artisan wares from the printmaker Isla May Middleton and Rutland gin-producer Multum Gin Parvo. Our Children’s shop has a new seasonal home opposite The Glasshouse int he courtyard, and is bursting with the most wonderful curation of books, games and stocking fillers by Jellycat, Moulin Roty, Djeco and many others. 

We also have an enticing calendar of events lined up for the season including festive late night shopping, wreath workshops, special evenings and as always, our free Thrive & Bloom wellness sessions which take place once a month in The Loft.
